An Afternoon in NYC: Foggy, Christmasy & Fantastic

Happy Monday!! For me, this weekend consisted of a lot of baking and cookie decorating. To get myself out of the house, I spent the afternoon wandering around Manhattan with my camera. Now, street photography is definitely not my specialty, but I thought I'd share some of what I shot! I chose some of my favorite black and white images. The day was so grey and dreary that black and white feels atmospheric and true to how it felt in the busy, foggy, damp city.

It was one of the last weekends before Christmas so the atmosphere was very festive, but the crowds were overwhelming. NYC's annual Santacon bar crawl was also going on, so there were a few more people than usual in costume.

Downtown has some of the most beautiful shopping malls, like The Oculus and Brookfield place, both pictured below.

It was a foggy, rainy, crowded afternoon, but I love the energy of the city at Christmastime! Wandering around the city, just for the sake of it, has become one of my favorite Christmas traditions. What are your favorite places to visit around the holidays? What are some traditions you look forward to all year?

Have a great week everyone!! <3
